This beautiful statue of a lion was can be found at the entrance of a mausoleum at one of the local cemeteries. Believe it or not cemeteries can actually be a fascinating place to find subjects to photograph.
When taking this photo I positioned myself just right to get the glare of the mid day sun to completely over expose the far end of the tunnel. This gave me this glowing exit to the stone bridge tunnel of a train overpass.
This old metal post caught my eye during a photo walk. Through the layers of pealing paint you can see the various colours the post has been painted over the years, a physical display of the years it has stood strong.
I am always looking for texture and details to photograph, these worn bricks give a variety of colour and texture.

Sometimes you just luck out and the lighting you want is set up for you. Here in one of the hotels in Las Vegas this statue of, I believe, the Hindu Goddess Shakti, was mystically lit by one spot light presenting a wonderful opportunity to capture the feel and mystery surrounded by religious figures.
