Moss alway make me think of strange places not of this world. It also appears so soft and delicate with its tiny little foliage grouped in tiny clumps.
I have a lot of trees in my backyard that give it a forest like atmosphere and with that I often have mushroom growing all around. I find them very interesting to photograph, they make me feel like I am entering a world hidden from the rest of us.
People are so negative when it comes to what we call weeds, but often they have the cutest flowers on them. These daisy looking flowers were found on a bunch of weeds growing at the side of my shed. Look how dainty and lovely they actually are.
This bizarre looking thing hanging of the side of a fallen tree in one of the local parks made me think of bats hanging from a roof top. Almost like thread weaved together it complemented the old tree trunk nicely.

This picture was taken at the dragon boat races benefit for brest cancer survivors. After the races were done the survivors & supporters paddled out into the water and tossed a pink rose into the lake for themselves or those they were supporting.
