As an avid comic book collector one of my favourite character is Namor the sub-mariner, a character by Marvel comics created in the early 40’s. I created this hand painted T-Shirt for a convention I was attending in Toronto Ontario to meet Stan Lee. At this event Mr. Lee loved my T-shirt and admitted that Namor had always been one of his favorite characters as well.
The T-shirt records the visual evolution of my favourite Marvel comics character Namor the Sub-Mariner. Starting on the back (seen here to the left) the red-headed version on Namor is one of the earliest images during 1940’s.
The images continue wrapping around to the front to the main image of a recent rendition.
